Catherine Birdie (Mccausland) Castoe

Catherine Birdie McCausland was born February 5, 1916 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Oliver Alonzo McCausland and Mildred Theodoshia (Parker) McCausland. She has been a lifelong resident of Bartlesville. Catherine and Leonard Castoe were united in marriage on December 23, 1933. Mr. Castoe preceded her in death on February 13, 1975. Catherine was a member of Memorial Christian Church in Bartlesville. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. and a friend to all. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking for others, which sometimes were Sunday dinners for 30+ people. She enjoyed her family, especially babysitting with her grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Leonard, Sr.; her son, Leonard B. "L.B." Castoe, Jr.; and her sister, Charlene Sutherland. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Uleta Castoe-Reynolds and her husband, Carl, of Bartlesville; sister, Winnie Wiles also of Bartlesville; grandchildren, Joe Castoe and his wife, Shelly, of Bartlesville, Jay Castoe and his wife, Pilar, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Travis, Cody and David Castoe; step-grandchildren, Estefany and James Taber; and foster great-granddaughter, Amber Averill and her daughter, Aleah Averill
