Eugene “Gene” Myers, 90 of Nowata passed away in Fayetteville, Arkansas on December 10, 2020. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, July 21, 1930, to Albert Leroy and Ada (Elliott) Myers. Gene worked several jobs in the Nowata area and worked for John Deere until his retirement. In 1950 Gene married the love of his life Shirley Darlene Reeves in Bartlesville. Gene loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed fixing things. He was very talented and could fix anything. Gene was a very kind person and would help anyone in need. He loved people, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. Gene had many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Gene Myers in death are his parents Roy and Ada Myers; wife, Shirley Darlene Myers; a son, Michael Leroy Myers; and three siblings, Lois Mauk, Elvin Myers, Billy Joe Myers.

Survivors include his daughter Susan Rahn and husband Mark, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren Shawn Rahn, Matthew Rahn and wife Tara; great grandchildren Michael Rahn, and Audry Rahn; many other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside funeral will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Nowata Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com
